X-Files: It Remains To Be Seen

So the second X-Files movie is slated to come out this July, which means costume shops everywhere are already ramping up their supplies of alien and Bigfoot costumes.
The movie features the same cast that made the TV series such a huge success and the first movie such a dud. David Duchoveny and Gillian Anderson play good-looking FBI agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully, a can’t-miss tandem with a knack for solving paranormal mysteries while skillfully not making out. Sure the fans want to see some FBI-on-FBI smoochie-smoochie, but if I know director Chris Carter (which I don’t) he’ll masterfully balance on-screen sexual tension with his knack for leaving D&D Dungeon Masters begging for the next episode.
Carter is titling this flick “X-Files: I Want To Believe.” I want to believe, too; I want to believe that at least one molecule in David Duchoveny’s 48-year-old body will someday look its age and less like the timeless Greek God that several of my girlfriends have unfairly compared me to. He’s this generation’s Dick Clark; when he turns 60 (27 in Duchoveny years) he’ll probably get to host his own holiday.
